साहित्य संगीत कला विहीन: साक्षात् पशु पुच्छ विषाण हीन: |

तृणं न खादन्नपि जीवमानस्तद्भागधेयं परमं पशूनाम् ॥

A person without a touch of Literature, Music or Art in his life is equivalent to animal without tail and horn. It is the fortune on animals that this person don't eat grass, otherwise animals would have hardly found any grass left to eat.

For Man is a rational animal, his rationality lies in developing his qualities and virtues. Music, Art and Literature add values to the human life. They adorn our life with the garments of beauty. Anything is beautiful, which is an expression ! Music, Art and Literature are the mediums of expressing human mind. They take human mind to a peak of joy. A person who do not possess at least one amongst three(Music, Art or Literature) is merely equivalent to animal who cannot express himself. He loses even the little joy of human life. He may be rich in gold, but will always be poor in happiness.

A person with Music, Art and Literature goes beyond objectivity and enjoys subjective happiness.

There is a story of Violin player, who was once caught by thieves on his way in the jungle. They snatched his belongings and forcefully took away his money and Violin. By further enquiry of violin player, thieves realised that the person they caught is a famous Violinist. They had got bored living in jungles for years and thought of some refreshment idea.

One of the thieves looking at his Violin asked the person in their prison, "Do you really play a good Violin ?"

"Yes !" he replied.

"OK ! then, let show us your Violin skills.", said another thief and handed Violin in his hand to the Violinist.

He begun to play Violin, and the melody of his instrument filled their hearts and minds with pleasure, they have ever experienced.

Thieves were happy, they asked him "You have made us happy, what thing would you like to have in return from us ?"

Violinist answered, "I would be happy if you could just return my Violin back."

They were astonished with his answer that the man did not ask for money but Violin.

One of them said, "Are you fool, though you doesn't look so? You could have asked for your money."

He replied with a tender smile, "Music is my life, I can always make money with it, but cannot make my life beautiful without it !"

Thieves realised their mistake and his love towards music, they returned everything they grabbed from him and freed him from their prison. Violinist was happy to get all his belongings, but was more happy for getting his favourite Violin back.

A person with Music, Art or Literature can enjoy beauty of this world ! And the rest are in the illusion of enjoyment.
